Buck Systems Approved to ISO 9001:2000
Buck Systems of Birmingham, a member of GEA Pharma Systems, and Europe’s
leading supplier of powder handling systems for the pharmaceutical and
healthcare industries, has recently been approved by Lloyd’s Register Quality
Assurance to the quality management standard ISO9001:2000. The approval
represents an important step in the company’s process of continual improvement
throughout all its key business areas.
The Quality Management System (QMS) is applicable to the supply and project
management of pharmaceutical processing equipment including development,
design, assembly, test and installation supervision. Stephen Boswell, the
company’s, Managing Director, said that it was vitally important for his
company to have an independently recognised QMS to provide customers with the
level of confidence in the company’s operational processes in this demanding
market sector. He also acknowledged the achievement of the staff in making this
requirement a reality. “Everyone has worked very hard to build the new
operational procedures into their day to day jobs,” he said.
Buck Systems and GEA Pharma Systems are both parts of the P-Division of GEA,
Global Engineering Alliance, the highly successful technology group with
worldwide sales in excess of Euro 4.3 billion.
