The Air Deceleration Unit consists of a stainless steel chute,
which is fabricated at an angle so that all the material
transfers from the discharge stations to the inlet of the rotary tablet press
or capsule filler.
An inflatable membrane manufactured from flexible silicone runs internally
through the length of the chute. The silicone membrane is inflated and deflated
to control the descent of material to the inlet of the press or capsule
filler.
“Layflat” type flexible tube for the product to travel through, which is
connected to the outlet of the Active Valve product chute and the inlet of the
hopper. The “Layflat” type tube runs down the centre of a permanent rigid chute
and its inner silicone membrane.
