The Courtoy MODUL™ rotary tablet press is now available with the enhanced tablet production control principle allowing for simultaneous, yet independent, control of both tablet weight and hardness.
The “dual weight/hardness control” principle
When using Displacement for Tablet Weight Control, the final compression station is only used to give the tablet its final Hardness and hence Thickness. The Dual Control option adds a second control loop for constant tablet hardness at the final compression.
After the press has been set-up for automated weight control and the operator has verified the tablet hardness, the second control loop will keep the final compression force constant. Force variations will be adjusted by repositioning the compression rollers within pre-set product limits
The dual weight/hardness control principle is integrated in the Multi-Control 4 (MC4) and is available as an optional feature on the MODUL™ rotary tablet press.
