The MODUL™ range of tablet presses from Courtoy™ has become trusted worldwide for reliability, productivity and containment. At a single stroke the machines have revolutionised tableting technology with the introduction of the Exchangeable Compression Module (ECM), which allows full product change-over in less than 30 minutes, compared with up to eight hours for ordinary presses. The ECM is a closed system: no cleaning on the machine, no contamination of the room, maximum security for the operator, designed to process highly potent drugs.
The model on show is the MODUL™ S. It is a highly flexible system that enables you to run different batches or products with different tooling types in one day. The MODUL™ S rotary tablet press has a higher production capacity than any other single-sided tablet press available. Experienced staff will be on the stand every day to explain the secret of its impressive performance.
FlexStream™ Fluid Bed Processing
FlexStream™ is the latest in fluid bed technology, providing granulation, drying and coating all in a single process. Features such as automatic side discharge which facilitates contained transfer to the next process. FlexStream™ also prevents the uncontrolled over-wetting of particles by using a protective air stream taken from the normal process air. As no compressed air is required, fewer particles are destroyed in the process and the system is more energy efficient. The system is also easy to switch between use as a dryer, a granulator or a coater. Impressive test data proves that, in addition to those commercial benefits, FlexStream™ gives superior product quality when compared with conventional top-spray granulation.
