GEA Lyophil integrates freeze dryers or lyophilizers, Automatic
Loading and Unloading Systems and isolators or RABs into complete systems to
reach a high level of contamination prevention.
Why use isolators or RABs?
The aseptic production of
pharmaceuticals usually takes place in clean-rooms in order to prevent product
contamination. Although operator intervention is regulated strictly, it still
is the main source of contamination.
A step toward contamination prevention is the use of ALUS® (Automatic
Loading and Unloading Systems), reducing operator activities in the clean-room
area for loading and unloading of the freeze dryer.
One step further
leads the use of Isolator technology and RABs, restricting operator access to
the aseptic production by physical barriers. Isolators and RABs can thus
replace the expensive clean-room and offer both, product and operator
protection.
Complete Freeze Drying Production Systems for contamination
prevention.
Pharmaceutical customers who need to assure a superior
degree of product protection because of high-value and expensive products or of
operator protection because of toxic products (for example cytostatica) can
rely on GEA Lyophil’s production systems. Integrating freeze dryers, ALUS
(Automatic Loading and Unloading Systems) and
isolators into one complete
system delivers
the best solution for the aseptic production.
