The GPS Technology Centre provides both equipment and know-how for
pharmaceutical companies to develop and test oral solid dosage form products.
The latest GPS technologies enable pharmaceutical companies to bring new
products to market in the shortest possible time.
The wide range of
process technologies supplied by GEA Pharma Systems (GPS) gives personnel a
very broad range of experience and helps them work with clients to understand
and select the most appropriate process technology during early development.
This ensures that future scale up and full-scale production will go smoothly.
The Centre is equipped with a full range of GPS solid dosage processes
including: contained material handling, dispensing, blending and powder mixing,
granulation, extrusion, pelletization, drying, tablet production and coating.
This range of technologies is unique and enables customers to take a product
right from a liquid feedstock or powder through to a finished and coated
tablet. Production capacity is offered for batches of 100 g to 100 kg.
At the GPS Technology Centre, our customers can test any unit operation -
from lab to pilot scale. Furthermore, our customers can perform comparative
process studies with our skilled operators by testing complete process trains.
Processing is optimised by utilising advanced Process Analytical Technology
(PAT) and Cleaning-in-place (CIP) technology
The Centre’s process
specialists can also provide training for both development and production
staff.
