Courtoy tablet presses are fitted with a powder in-feed system which
ensures minimal weight variability, even at high speeds and with poorly flowing
formulations
A combination of a specially designed rotary valve and powder level
sensor allows for accurate control of the powder column above the feeder. This
"constant level" systems allows for a reduced and constant powder pressure
inside the rotary feeder - eliminates risk of feeder jamming and guarantees
constant powder feed flow into the dies, even at very high compression
speeds.
All Courtoy presses can be supplied with the "constant level" rotary feeding
system:
| Constant level - MODUL™ series |
Constant level - R series |
Alternatively, a vertical agitator system can be installed for powders with
extremely poor flow characteristics.

Two-chamber paddle feeder
A standard feature on all Courtoy presses is the two-chamber
paddle feeder, with independent frequency controller and drive motor for each
paddle. The paddle speeds are memorised as product recipe parameters in the
control system.
This design offers the ultimate set-up flexibility to find the optimal
feeding conditions for a wide range of products. As a result, higher machine
speeds can be achieved than on other tablet presses with the same number of
punch positions.
The simple construction inside the feeder, with no drive belts, gears or
bearings, makes it light-weight and easy to clean. It can be immersed in water
or washed in a washing machine.
Maximum flexibility to find the optimal feeding parameters for a wide
range of powders with different flow characteristics.
