The ECM CONCEPT:
Exchangeable Compression Module
All parts in contact with the product, including the tooling, are encapsulated inside the closed ECM. The ECM is easily removed from the machine in a fast and contained manner, completely eliminating the need for cleaning of the inside of the press. This results in an extremely short
product change-over time: maximum 30 minutes for the tablet press; total change-over time down to as low as 100 minutes with 2 ECMs and duplication of peripherals. At the same time, a higher level of operator protection is achieved than on any conventional tablet press with a non-encapsulated exchangeable die table.
Overview:
- At each full cleaning of the machine, you easily gain several hours of production time. The contaminated ECM is exchanged for a clean one and production resumes immediately with the replacement ECM. The Wash-off-line cleaning of the used ECM involves no machine downtime!
- The MODUL™ P offers exceptionally high operator protection. Expensive and impractical isolators are no longer required.
- The machine has a number of features, which allow tabletting of small powder quantities with an optimal yield.

Small-scale continuous bi-layer tablet production
