Pelletizing
The production of pellets by Extrusion and Spheronization involves three
essential processes; Mixing of the dry powder components with a liquid
to form a homogeneous and evenly wetted mass, Extrusion of the wet
mass into cylindrical “spaghetti like” strands and finally
Spheronization which fragments the strands into short cylindrical
lengths and roll-forms them into spheres.
Equipment for all three processes are available from several manufacturers
