After the successful introduction of CONSIGMA™ in 2008, the success story
continues with yet another sale of this innovative continuous high-shear
granulation and drying unit.
Based on feasibility trials of the CONSIGMA™ in the Process Development
Center of GEA Pharma Systems nv - Collette™, another Mexican generic company
has decided to buy a large capacity unit.
After evaluation of the quality of the produced granules and a comparison of
investment and running costs between CONSIGMA™ and a traditional line, this
company quickly realized the advantages of the continuous line and issued a
purchase order.
Also an Eastern European generic player has decided to invest in the
CONSIGMA™ for much the same reasons. They also witnessed successful trials in
our laboratory in Wommelgem and after making the comparison of investment and
running cost, they came to the same conclusions. In their decision, also space
requirement played an important role, which is about ¼ for CONSIGMA™ compared
to a traditional granulation suite.
